Underwater cleanup
In May 2023 we brought together 842 divers and close to 100 volunteers. This action had the support of several partners who joined in this 24-hour event. The results were fantastic, with 7 tonnes of rubbish collected in 24 hours. This moment was only possible with impressive work on the part of the diving centers Haliotis, Cipreia, Nautilus-Sub, MegaDive, Anthia Dive Center, Arrábida Experiences, Odisseia Azul, Wind Team.
On May 25th we once again carried out a major underwater cleaning action in Sesimbra. This time we will bring together the largest number of divers, simultaneously, in an underwater cleanup. We have the support of the Association's Environmental Patrons such as EDP and Critical Software, as well as the Sesimbra City Council, the international diving organizations SSI, SDI/TDI and PADI. These are joined by the Oceano Azul Foundation, diving centers, fire brigades and other civil protection agents. Divers must register at the diving centers, land volunteers can register HERE
